In industrial automation consulting, the observation of the workflow is strategic for the integration of robots. It reveals the specific phases where intelligent automation should be implemented. These are often the steps preceding or following a CNC machine within a work cell. In the first case, the robot can be used to pick up a part, wash it, inspect it, or clean it; in the second, to retrieve the part, move it to the next workstation, insert it into another machine, or handle packaging.
