It guarantees high quality standards for the performance of its products that require highly skilled labor to be made with accuracy and fit into the most disparate gears.

The highly specialized technicians needed by P.C.M. for their own production are often difficult to find on the market. For this reason, the company has embarked on an important automation path, aimed at creating a technologically advanced plant. We at Applyca have been asked to create a robotic island with various CNC machine tools for chip removal, equipped with robots to free the production of power units from specialized human intervention as much as possible.
Applyca’s solution
The work island connects two CNC machines for chip removal by inserting a robot for loading and unloading both machines and a measuring and control cell in a small space of only 9 square meters. More precisely:
- the robot takes the single blanks from the dedicated warehouse
- inserts them into the chip removal machine to be processed
- Places the pieces into the washing station
- if the measurements do not fall within the required tolerances, the machining parameters of the machine tools are automatically changed
